The Swallowed Man is the story of Pinocchio‘s father, and what he was doing inside the whale all that time while Pinocchio was off having adventures. This is a short but absolutely delightful story about love and longing, with imaginative word play and clever illustrations. There are some dark moments, but overall this is a book about hope.
